Day eight of my 365 Day Writing Project.
Time: 1.5 hours
Today I did something a little different. I wrote while the kids were still up and we were all together in the living room. The kids were watching a movie (like we often do after dinner) and I sat here with them, typing away. Surprisingly, I was pretty focused. There were several interruptions, including my two year-old attempting to climb into my lap a few times. After a quick cuddle she would get interested in something else, so back to writing I went. I got about 30 minutes of writing in during this time. The rest was done after everyone was asleep, as usual.
Things are moving along nicely after only eight days. I wasn’t sure when I started this project if I should bother keeping track of how many words I write each day. I am so glad I made the choice to do so. In just over a week, I have written 10,400 words. That sounds impressive to me. All right, I know. It really isn’t that much, but it is far more writing than I was doing before I started this project.
I am the tortoise. Slow and steady will prove to get me across the finish line eventually.
